Namrita Kapur

Namrita has over 18 years experience in sustainable finance and impact investing, having led sustainable finance initiatives at non-profits and environmental advocacy organisations in the United States, Latin America and Africa.

Currently she is working as an Impact Investment Strategist at National Geographic, where she is developing the next generation of their impact investing strategy. She is also an Impact Fellow at a family fund. Previously she worked as the Managing Director of the EDF+Business Sustainable Finance Team at the Environmental Defense Fund, where she led their sustainable finance strategy. She was also a Founding Member of Root Capital, a non-profit social investment fund.

Namrita has expertise in developing initiatives, influencing policies and structuring financial products to drive environmental, social and governance impact. She utilizes her unique background in advocacy, international development and financial services to optimize business development and secure funding to further programs and initiatives. She is especially adept at communicating with the C-suite to create shared value and systems change.

Namrita holds a BA from Princeton, a Master of Environmental Management, Social Ecology and Community Development from Yale and an MBA from Yale School of Management.

Namrita is also a published author and a public speaker. She is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and Hindi.
