Ying is the founder and managing partner of BC, a global creative and innovation consulting and investment firm.
Ying has 12 years of corporate offering strategic planning, R&D and branding experiences, mostly covering media, FMCG and high tech industries including IT and telecommunication.
Before starting her own company, Ying was the first Asia GM for Frog to bring its innovation and user experience offerings into Asia over 5 years with c.a.g.r. about 100%. Prior to Frog, Ying worked for WPP, the biggest international marketing service group, for 10 years, in its different portfolio companies and global locations.
Ying is also an enthusiastic advocator and practitioner for the innovation-driven sustainability efforts in China. She is the deputy managing director of Global Alliance for China Growth Sustainability via Culture Conservation and Innovation, and has initiated multiple programs to assist large Chinese state-owned-enterprises and public sector institutions to establish their sustainability related managerial and or reporting practices.
Ying serves as the “design and innovation” government industry advisor in Shanghai since 2008, to provide think tank support to the policy decisions for the creative industry development. She leads the innovation strategy course in Peking University and is helping PKU to establish the Innovation Management School. She is a regular source for Chinese and Global media for Chinese product, innovation and IP topics. Most recently, Ying’s social efforts were recognized by the Shanghai Huangpu district government and were nominated as their “Entrepreneur of the Year.”
Ying is a Beijinger. She attended the Beijing No.4 Middle School, Peking University (BA 1998) and Harvard Business School (MBA 2004). Since 2012, she is the VP of membership for the Harvard Business School Club and Communication Officer for Harvard University Alumni Association Shanghai.
Ying’s husband is a corporate international affair council. She has a daughter and is quasi-based in Shanghai, Beijing, New York and Boston for her business, social and family duties.
